I wish we could abandon Pascal’s Wager to the past, too. It’s disturbing how poorly reasoned it is. But as long as certain theists keep using it, and being convinced by it, it’s going to warrant continued discussion.

Also: can I just remark on the irony of someone criticizing atheists for painting with too wide a brush when they speak about “religion in general,” while simultaneously insisting that “the atheist” (singular, monolithic) is “customarily superficial”?
