Where are the positive examples of men in our culture these days?

Culture is filled with positive examples of men.

I’m a comic book nerd, so the immediate examples that come to my mind are from that medium. Superman and Captain America.

But it extends to all forms of fiction. Most movies and books and TV shows with male protagonists are positive examples of men, and the only ones that aren’t are the anti-heroes like Tony Soprano or Walter White, or the outright villains like Humbert Humbert.

Game of Thrones has Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow, Samwell Tarly, Davos Seaworth, Ned and Robb Stark, Gendry.

The Walking Dead has Rick, Carl, Daryl, Glenn, Morgan, Abraham, Hershel.

The Lord of the Rings is a sausagefest: Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Frodo, and all the other Hobbits.

I could go on. The list is endless.
