Here’s a fun question to ask your conservative friends.

When you’re having a discussion about whether the rich should pay higher taxes, and your conservative friend is staunchly opposed to the idea, simply ask them what they think is a fair tax rate.

I’ve spoken to many conservatives who will say they don’t want to RAISE taxes on the wealthy, but they also don’t want to LOWER them. And they certainly don’t want to LOWER taxes on the wealthy while RAISING them for everyone else.

Yet, that’s exactly what Republicans have done, twice, in the last two years.
