“I am open to the hypothesis that Mr. Trump committed no crimes…”

Well, I am open to the hypothesis that he did not commit conspiracy, and I have been from the beginning.

As for obstruction, I have long been closed to the possibility that the President is innocent of that crime. The evidence for obstruction has been in plain sight for nearly two years now.

But on the subject of conspiracy:

The President has consistently acted on Russia’s behalf, from not implementing sanctions passed by Congress to siding with Putin over his own intelligence agency, but there was always the possibility that none of this behavior was because he was compromised, but rather because he simply likes Putin — that he is naturally impressed by shows of autocratic strength, and/or because he is being manipulated (by having his ego stroked). It seems now that this may have been the case, and in some ways, that is even more terrifying.
