Lately I’ve been watching a lot of “hangout” shows.

Seinfeld. Always Sunny. New Girl. Will & Grace. Friends.

And they all leave me wondering… does anyone actually live like that? Is that perhaps part of the appeal of these shows — that we desperately want to have that level of connection with our friends well into our thirties and forties, and we just don’t?
