There are so many reasons why it’s bullshit, but I think my favorite is that everyone is still using the astrological signs based on the astronomical alignments from 2,000 years ago, but in those 2,000 years, earth’s orbit has shifted. The alignments have changed. Everyone is actually off by one sign! The people who think they are Pisces are actually Aquarians. Which is kind of hilarious.

Some of the apologists try to get around it by saying that Western astrology is seasonal (Aries begins with the Spring equinox and Libra with the Autumnal equinox). But if it’s based on the seasons, then what do the alignments of the stars have to do with anything? Why do they talk so much about that?
