When writing fiction, I have a bad habit of abandoning projects unfinished. The two biggest obstacles are that I don’t know where to take the story, or that I just get bored with it.

Careful planning helps with the former. For the latter, the only solution is to write faster. Finish the story before I get bored with it. It’s good advice.
